Many organisations operate in an increasingly litigious and security-conscious environment and while many have acknowledged the need to search traditional forms of Electronically Stored Information (ESI), audio is a much neglected area of risk. Many organisations are compelled by regulation, or do so by business necessity, to record audio interactions. These recordings may contain critical pieces of information, in fact the volume of cases successfully using key evidence from E-Discovery is rising and so is the number of cases using audio. However, the cost of extracting this valuable intelligence has traditionally been very high. hound-it radically alters this paradigm.
After the identification and collection of potential audio records from the corporate environment the subsequent stages of the E-Discovery process (Processing, Review and Analysis) would normally be conducted manually. hound-it significantly reduces the resources required to listen to the audio recordings and can increase the speed at which this activity may be completed.

hound-it is the first desktop, E-Discovery application, based on phonetic speech search technology, that has unique functionality allowing the user to search, review and analyse audio data for the purposes of producing a case relevant subset.
This is achieved using features including fast iterative search, file based tagging and dataset filtering.
Analysis results from the identified audio subset can then be exported to downstream tools for further analysis or preparation for presentation. This is achieved using a highly flexible export framework using XML.
